i thought i would some pictures of some of my favourite cards that i have made, the image above of the children is in beige and browns so i contrasted the papers and punched paper embellishments in complimentary colours and stitched the edge on my sewing machine in a jagged fashion, a tip for machine stitching, layer your base paper onto a piece of card before stitching and attaching to card blank, it hides the back of the stitching. The topper is from Lili of the Valley.
This is a Magnolia stamp coloured in alcohol marker pens picking out shades to compliment the backing paper.
I bought this stamp to make a card for my football loving Grandson, its from Lili of the valley, and coloured in alcohol marker pens to contrast with the papers. http://www.liliofthevalley.co.uk/acatalog/index.html
This cute little stamp is from Magnolia Stamps, i wanted to make it girly so used pink marker pens, i made my paper flowers by punching out the flowers and layering up about 5 flowers, put a brad through the centre, spray with water and scrunch up flowers, leave a while to dry a bit then gently tease the flowers into shape with tweezers and when dry added glitter to the edges.
I love this dog stamp not sure where it was from, coloured in alcohol markers to compliment the papers, made a paper flower as above added punched leaves, a button tied with gold thread and a strip of lace.
This is the gorgeous Bella the dog and a scrap book page i did with some papers from http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/ i did it on my computer, the papers compliment the horrible carpet in my lounge (inherited with the house) and the gold swirl is like the carpet design, brown shades to compliment Bellas ears.
Hope you enjoyed visiting my page, bye for now from a very wet Wales.
